moveart GmbH creates inspiring multifunctional artworks that function as social sculptures and play structures. Inspired by organic forms, moveart combines beauty with functionality to create a welcoming and uplifting atmosphere. With their multigenerational appeal, moveart objects are ideal for enhancing public spaces.

moveart is an award-winning Swiss company founded by artist and designer Norbert Roztocki in 2015. The objects are offered in two distinct lines: Playsculptures®, designed for play and social gathering, and Smartcity®, which are ideal for public spaces and parks. moveart also collaborates with private individuals, organisations, architects, and landscape architects to design bespoke objects that reflect the character of a place and strengthen site identity.

Playsculptures® are ideal for activities such as climbing, gliding, resting, and lounging. These innovative sculptures support intergenerational play, encouraging movement and connection among people of all ages. Carefully crafted to inspire active participation and social interaction, they transform any space into a vibrant communal playspace where families and communities can gather, explore, relax, and enjoy themselves. All moveart products comply with Australian playground safety standards, ensuring safe use for children of all ages.

Designed for playing, sitting, resting, and more, Smartcity® social sculptures enliven public spaces while adding personality and character to both new and existing environments. Created to integrate naturally with their surroundings, they combine aesthetic value with practical function, inviting people of all ages to interact with their environment in creative and engaging ways.

Inspired by DNA’s double helix, moveart objects symbolise the origin of life and its transformation, creating harmony between people and their surroundings by combining the essential principles of art, functionality, and safety. The objects serve diverse purposes and are available in a variety of sizes, with bespoke sculptures also available.

Material and sustainability

All moveart products are made from 100% ecological and sustainable Accoya (modified Radiata Pine) and have an outdoor lifespan of up to 50 years. They are low-maintenance, resistant to vandalism, and able to withstand all weather extremes.

Accoya uses a 100% biodegradable and non-toxic acetylation process that incorporates vinegar into the wood, giving it exceptional rot resistance. With its extended durability and low carbon footprint, Accoya is a low-impact material that is Cradle to Cradle® certified, and it is currently the only construction material worldwide to achieve C2C Platinum certification™ for Material Health.
