Project

A place of great significance for the Manningham community, Templestowe Memorial Reserve hosts two major events each year honouring our service men and women – ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day.

Created in the early ‘90s, the site was looking a little tired and in need of a makeover. The council’s aim for the project was two-fold: to create a contemporary, reflective, and respectful environment to accommodate ANZAC crowds, whilst also offering a tranquil space for people to pay their respect in solitude.

Design

Urbania was contracted to create the centrepiece of the reserve, a custom designed Corten Steel Anzac Memorial. Several other Corten elements were also created, all of which were designed and laser-cut by the team.
