Project

Denman Prospect is a newly developed suburb in Canberra’s Molonglo Valley. With an emphasis on community, liveability, and sustainable design, the suburb has numerous community spaces, including café, shops and parks.

Equipment

Urbania was commissioned to supply a large moveart piece that would bring a sense of drama and fun to the garden’s gathering space.

With a design inspired by the double helix of human DNA, the Climbslide 5.0 was considered the perfect form for the garden.

The moveart Climbslide 5.0 is truly a sculptural work of art, that doesn’t just arouse curiosity, it ignites it. Kids love to climb and clamber on it, whilst adults have been known to rest on it while taking a break from tending their vegies.

All moveart pieces are created from highly rot-resistant Accoya timber, which has a 50-year lifespan. It also requires minimal maintenance, as Accoya handles all weather extremes and is durable against vandalism and graffiti.
