CSi Club Southport
Design
The club transformation project was overseen by BCCS Construction, who engaged Urbania to develop an innovative playspace design that would also offer practical functionality. A truly unique playground was the vision, with a design that would clearly differentiate CSi Club Southport from the many other clubs on the Gold Coast.
The project architect, BSPN, envisioned an enchanted garden concept that made great use of the heights within the space, featured sustainable materials and offered a treehouse play structure with a transparent facade, so children could be seen by their parents, enhanced with feature lighting

Project
The popular CSi Club Southport recently undertook a multimillion dollar renovation, that saw an under-utilised alfresco dining area transformed into a number of distinct usage spaces, including a dedicated playspace for children.
Unlike many of the clubs on the Gold Coast which often feature electronic game play areas for kids, CSi Club Southport was intent on creating an inviting and inclusive space for imaginative play. A fun playground that offered excellent play value and would prove irresistible to children of all ages and abilities.
Equipment
Richter Spielgeräte play equipment was highly recommended for the new playspace, featuring a stunning bespoke treehouse-themed Play Structure. This unique, one-off design, constructed out of spruce timber, offers impressive height along with a diverse range of climbing opportunities to challenge and engage children of various ages.
It includes a thrilling stainless steel, custom helix slide that provides an exhilarating descent, sensory games integrated throughout the structure to stimulate touch, sight, and sound exploration, and custom lighting that beautifully enhances the entire setup, creating a magical glow during evening use and adding an extra layer of excitement and safety. Complementing the main structure is a pair of handcrafted timber Cubby houses positioned at ground level, perfect for imaginative role-play and quieter activities.
The installation of this elaborate equipment proved particularly challenging due to the bespoke nature of the design, site specific requirements, and the need for precise integration of the slide, sensory elements, and lighting systems
